A first idea would be that you can replace the classic nightstands with shelves, thus capitalizing on height space. You can custom build them so that the lower part takes over the role and appearance of what they replace. And now you will need a closet. One that is as big as possible so that you don’t lose any wall surface. But it’s not that easy. Given your room’s form, you may not have an entire wall for that wardrobe. That’s why you should consider having the drawer in front of the bed (unlike the usual — sideways). You can even fit in your TV set. If that’s not an option as well, how about a TV stand with drawers? It’s probably the best solution.

We constantly talk about how essential it is to repeat accent colors and unique features in a room to give the interior a more curated look. This is no different in the case of live-edge wood and the bedroom. A live-edge headboard coupled with side tables crafted from the same grain of wood can instantly give the contemporary bedroom a huge facelift. Sometimes you can head in a completely different direction by combining posh, polished bedside tables with the rustic live-edge headboard, but repeat the woodsy charm using a bench at the foot of the bed.
Maybe you are not all that interested in ample color and are looking for a bed that is a touch different from the mundane and usher in contrast without feeling far too overwhelming. Instead of bringing home a bed in striking yellow or red, try out one in a lighter tone, but with a dashing and bright headboard. The headboard makes up for the lack of color in the rest of the room and by combining it with matching table lamps and nightstands; you have a gorgeous bedroom that is both aesthetic and functional.
